Regular use of hand disinfectants reduces the risk of infection and consequently lowers sick leave. Especially employees in public authorities with public traffic should be given the opportunity to disinfect their hands regularly.

The world’s first children’s hand disinfection dispenser will be put into operation at Rummelsberg Hospital on “International Hand Hygiene Day” on 5 May.
The special features are the lower dispensing height, the lower dosage for children’s hands and a safety switch. The invention resulted from the observation of the medical director and head physician Prof. Dr. Richard Stangl.
